Very Sky News if it was so therefore I don't think the BBC would go that far, but I liked it
Wouldn't it be nice for the news channel to have a studio like this come 2012? Will it happen?...

Sorry woah. I am getting old. The newsdesk was crammed up against the back left-hand corner of the studio, as we look at the screen. Not the right hand side, as I mentioned in my earlier post. Sorry.
Honestly, the desk was so close to the barco junction at the back, and the crop so tight, it made one feel as if Maxine was presenting from her living room. The corner junction of the screens on the two walls was very distinct, almost as if they had been hurriedly put together. Plus the background was strangely bluer than it normally is on News 24. Almost tinges of electric blue.
By the way, who is that lady above alongside Karin Gianonne?

It's Susanna Reid and Celina Hinchcliffe, I think.

Nope, that's N6 - just some different camera angles:

Martine Croxall doing the overnights from a tiny little studio. Is it the BBC LDN place? Quite nice though, if a bit B&Q!

News Channel sticking with Julian Assange, who's just started making a statement at the High Court - while the Six is starting on BBC One. They tried to hand over to the Six after the statement was finished, but ended up chatting to a Legal Affairs correspondent instead.

Don't worry about it
Yes, it seems it was N6 judging from caps above from 'thegeek' - using the 'night' backdrop used after about 10pm. The studio looks very different from each side, the desk is very close to the right hand corner however you don't see this unless we're looking at the angle in the picture I used.
The angle used in the caps from 'thegeek' is the one normally used at the start of news bulletins/ TOTH or to show images that relate to the story. The camera position is quite sharply angled, and makes it look like it is very close to the edge but it isn't at all, there is quite a distance from the desk to the Barco as you can see below.
I hope this helps

HO
Seriously? You wish they'd use their BARCO screens better? You'd like that?!
News to me.
I wish they'd do this more
