For those who get moist over such things, there was just a full 60-second countdown into the Ten TOTH.
That happens every weekday night, only time you can expect to see a full countdown.
I wish the BBC NC would show longer countdowns during the day, who decides on the length of the countdown at the top of each hour?
DA
Probably Old Father Time himself.

But it was a daytime one - not the nighttime one, so their player is having a scheduling wobbly again.
No sign of the BBC News fake christmas tree though

Depends how long is left after the weather and the trailers I suppose. When I've sat in the news channel gallery it starts playing automatically and the vision mixer fades into it where necessary.

I must admit it's been a while since I watched the Ten on the News Channel, but I thought the longer number-less countdown tended to be used into the Ten, as the lead-in from weather after the N8 hand-off is often longer than 60 seconds, and very occasionally longer than 90. I stand corrected if things have changed, but that certainly used to be the case.

Breakfast are getting their tree on Monday according to Bill.
No sign of the fake christmas tree yet on the Newsroom backdrop?
In response to the previous post, yes it's like watching ITN back in the good old days with Julia and Nick on at the mo!
