"Election 2010" bug - in a similar style to the ones accompanying the BBC World News mini-relaunch - now on screen, after BBC One broke off to its own programming.

I think the backdrop to the two-way interviews was slightly different too.

The BBC News channel has a huge 'Election 2010' dog now. It looks horrific.

Ah, the News Channel graphics department must have been watching BBC World News recently (as they have been using program DOGs for some of their programs):

Is the little (huge!) election logo meant to be jumpy animation or does their computer need a reboot?

Gosh, yes that looks horrendous! It should either animate smoothly or not at all in my opinion.

Is it an animated gif? And why, like most graphics on the channel, is it a pixel out from lining up with anything? So amateurish.

I don't think you've mentioned this before, please do go on, what sort of age range are you considering these powerpoint operators to be?

Just seen new DOG - an improvement but I think it will be Sky News for me.

Current graphics during the Campaign Show are much better, white strap with pulsating colour rings, the Live location bug is also been changed to white.

This is what they should be using throughout the day.

although I'm not really liking the music at the start! Jon is already getting 'the politics show' and 'campaign show' mixed up!! Will be interesting to see if he presents 5 days a week and politics show or not...
