Kasia Madera mentioned 'BBC News 24' just before E24 started this morning!

Part of me thinks that they all call it News 24 in and around the BBC for ease. Maybe that's why it sometimes slips out.

It certainly trips off the tongue easier than "BBC News".

Any idea roughly what time this was? If it was sometime during Breakfast when they did it then I'd have it. Ta.

It was about 10:45

Charlie Stayt also used the term at around 08:56

Kate is forever mucking up on the one - she quite often calls in the "1 o'clock news"

Maybe they're all secretly trying to get the name reinstated. Wink

Are we expecting the BBC News Channel to launch election graphics today, or just use their normal ones?

Given that Sky News have gone into full-on election mode, you'd have thought that the BBC might do something similar.

Why? It's a news event yes, but there's no need for the BBC to go all tabloid in it's coverage.

I can't find any examples at the moment, but for the last election, the red and black titles had an election variation which were used throughout the campiagn.

I noticed that Sky News' correspondent Joey Jones made a brief appearance on the BBC News channel as they seemed to be using Sky News' unsindicated pictures of the David Cameron speech and they didn't cut the shot quick enough!
