All OK on Sky here.

Looks like it's **** my end as I tried rebooting the box & got 'No Satelite Signal Received'.
Tried the lead in the back & made no difference.
I checked our other box (Multiroom) & there was no signal on the one input but there was on the other (SKY Plus) box as it was working.
Is that likely to be LNB or actual box related, as the Thomson standard SKY box is a few years old.
(I'm hoping for a new box, but what am I likely to get as I've heard rumours SKY standard boxes aren't being supplied now!)
Anyone just lost NC & Parliament on SKY?
Freeview NC appears to be ok, plus other BBC channels on SKY.
Either that or something;s **** my end.

But are they not awarding the Academy Awards for 2009 tonight? Perhaps they should avoid any confusion by omitting the year altogether.
They have now shown a massive 'Oscars
2009'
slide behind Maxine twice this afternoon. Bit shoddy really...surely someone at the channel must have seen it.

Indeed, the Oscars are for the film from the previous year.

Probably not the right thread for this, but N9 is back in use for the BBC News Report, on Red Button now.

Noticed that with the GP Qualifying today the NC continued as normal running into Dateline London. Maxine Mawhinney then moved to a CSO studio to do the BBC ONE news between the GPQ and Football Focus.

Yep - looked like the CSO studio and gallery used for 60 Seconds and the BBC One daytime bulletins was used... (Did anyone notice that the captions seem to be produced by an aston permanently keyed, and has a little dot bottom left when it is otherwise blank, I assume so that they know it is live?)
The lighting and racking don't do the presenters any favours - with the camera vision appearing to be very sat-up (i.e. blacks are grey) and a bit too high for someone of Maxine's height (maybe a small box would be good for the presenters to stand on if the camera has a fixed height?)
AIUI there was a bit of a revamp of that area for the Beijing Olympics breakfast bulletins - though there is still some issue with the sound mixing functionality (or lack of it) judging by the levels on some VTs which were voiced-over live (and where Maxine was nearly drowned by effects)

It's a shame Dateline London doesn't come from Millbank any more. They could have done some clever routing to get Millbank on the NC and N6 on BBC1.

I'd imagine involving the emergency mixer for the News Channel, rather than putting some DR arrangements into play!
However, Dateline is recorded on Saturdays these days - it's first shown on the News Channel at 1230, I presume live.
In the days of the Sunday tx from Millbank, there was an odd arrangement where the Broadcast Centre would make a recording of the 50 minute version, and a separate ISO recording - watched by the editor whose job it was to create the 30 minute cutdown version for World.
I quite liked the Millbank newsroom set - does it still exist, or has it been decommissioned? (I assume the DR studio is now the one seen on the Daily Politics.)
