I notice that a good part of the BBC News at Five O'Clock has been done away from the desk with Emily at the side wall on a stool. They have just done a piece as well with a Violin player and they had made good use of the screens and the Crane camera. Smile More stuff like this please!

There is no crane/jib in N6.

I think it may be known as the both camera?

The RTS obviously don't think much of the channel: BBC misses out on RTS news channel nomination.

Full list of nominations here.

Maybe this is a good thing in the sense that it will kick start the BBC bosses to urgently reform the channel ( and hopefully move it back to N8 in the process).

And where do you think the money for this will come from?

Reform the channel? RTS is a popularity game and always has been. Really, nobody in the viewing world gives two sh*ts about which news channel wins which award. The BBC may lose face in the media darling world, but out here in the real world, who cares?

Well it seems like BBC cares since they splashed that title (RTS News channel of the year) on their opening whenever they won it in the past. Cool

But that's not to say that the vast majority of viewers care, or even know who/ what RTS is!

I'm surprised CNN got a nod, were they ever nominated in the past?

Or possibly just a standard studio ped with an operator...

They are the current holders of the title, and don't splash it now.

She just acting as cover for now or are they testing the water for future schedules? I remember reading this article in December but its not very clear their intentions.
