Really good ending to the BBC News special. Smile Liked it, infact liked the whole thing!

How did it end?

It was a real plot twist. Can't wait for the sequel.

The titles, backdrop (use of the screens) the way the music was bedded as the camera zoomed out from Sophie at the desk showing N6 in it's entirity into the images that viewers had sent in. Good programme.

With all the white around at the moment with the backdrops, it shows how good the new projectors are compared to the old non-self correcting ones. Smile

On a separate note, this has to be longest that the 'Breaking' ticker strap has been up and the ticker being red. It was being used this morning, throughout the day today and now. Before, I think the longest its been used continually was for the Michael Jackson news.

Do the BBC have guidelines as to how long a story is astoned/tickered as Breaking News?

Personally I think the BBC have been using the breaking news ticker way too much. They've caught the Sky fever of having it on more times than the ordinary ticker. I also think it was better when they'd have the breaking ticker incorporated into the ordinary ticker rather than having breaking being repeated constantly.

Has anyone captured this so called fantastic ending to the BBC news special?

Interesting to note full BBC News clock & ticker being used on BBC ONE at prime time!

I can understand the ticker, but I though the clock was a no no normally on daytime/evening simulcasts as someone said 'Specially commisioned programmes are supposed to act as stand alone programmes, even though thery're simulcast!'

Can I assume this wasn't a 'specially commissoned programme' then?

Full graphics were also shown on the BBC News Special shown this morning on BBC One. But I suppose that could have been for the information on the ticker which was relevant to the story.

What just happened with the weather on the News Channel? I turned over just in time to hear the presenters apologise and say they will try to return to it.

Don't think he had his microphone on and so we couldn't hear him

25 minutes after the statement was made to the Commons, the ticker is still trailing the Ministerial statement made at 1130.
