Or even better idea, if he can sit at the other desk, sit him at the other desk and do a split screen from there, that way it looks better then him looking like he's speaking to her from 2001 rather then the 'BBC Newsroom'

Umm, the other desk, as you put it is out of action.

Umm, I think he means the other desk in N9.

There still appear to be audio problems on some reports. Is it something to do with the bitrate that material is being saved at?

Just now, Frank Gardner was in N9, being interviewed by Nicholas Owen. The interview was recorded. The sound quality was poor. There was a noticeable difference in the audio during the transition from the pre-recorded segment back to the live studio.

The problem is particularly noticeable in the 'pips' during the opening title sequence, and with voices. During the Frank Gardner interview, Frank's voice suffered the distortion you'd experience when mic levels are too high.

I noticed that too. Each pip in the titles sounded distorted. I wonder what's causing it?

Well - just listened to the start of the BBC One news programme at 10.30pm.

During the opening headlines, the clip of the mother of the man freed in Iraq today was distorted. However, when this clip was played out within Frank Gardner's report, the audio was fine.

The pips on the opening title sequence were distorted as usual.

HA! - Maybe someone is reading this forum!

Check Frank Gardner now - Clearly in N8, as they are off air at this time...

*

He does look keyed, but watching it - he wasn't for sure!

If someone is reading the forum. Can we start having a roofcam wide shot at the TOTH after the titles (much like they did here)...

The report on the cricket near the end of the programme had audio distortion throughout.

I'm sure I saw what looked like the TV Forum site on one of the desk monitor screens in the background behind Martine. LOL.

I had mentioned about the plasma in N9 earlier on here, and that got rectified quite soon afterwards....

Has the amount of signed material on the NC been increased permanently, seems strange to see signing between 1400 and 1430?

They normally sign the One simulcasts, and this was today's lunchtime bulletin on BBC One; perhaps they just continued signing for the whole 30 minute segment as consistency for NC viewers.

ta Stuart, makes logical sense, schedule changes, cause confusion when you return from shopping during Twixtmasnewyear.
