I've noticed poor sound quality on some of the output today. Fuzziness on the TOTH title sequence earlier in the day on the News Channel and just now on the titles for the BBC One news programme at 11.15pm. On both occasions, I was watching on DSAT, but at two separate locations.

Must admit I have noticed sound problems too particularly with the titles.

The problem is still apparent today. Seems to be particularly bad on the title sequence though.

I've noticed the 'Britain's most watched news channel' is missing from the sting as well.

Hopefully, when they're back in N6 on the 3rd/4th Jan - we'll have a sharper fake newsroom (with better screens) and overall a more polished production.

I don't watch BBC News too often, but I flicked over earlier and it felt like we had the old News 24 back on, it looked like a proper News channel in a Newsroom, not a boxed studio with far too much grey.

Yes! I flicked onto BBC News this afternoon and it was such a refreshing change. N6 is so, so dull and feels claustrophobic. Bring back News 24 between 1997 and 2008 is what I say...all is forgiven!

Although the BBC will never listen to us, I second this movement. Let's all ditch N6 and move to N9. A much better, proper newsroom than N6 could ever be. Yes, it has Barcos, but that's it. It's just a box. N9 FTW!! It looks excellent on screen. Like others have said, it reminded me of BBC News 24 from years ago.

Why can't they just have a live shot of their newsroom projected onto the Barco's in N6? We get the best of both World's then!

Yup, totally agree. N6 is of course on paper a much better studio, plus with all its screens offers a lot more versatility. BUT - the News Channel is run with so few staff, they can't ever find the time to actually use any versatility - it's just two people sitting at a desk, with padding sport added twice an hour. If they were getting up to use the Barcos then fine, but they're not. That being the case, the basic shots need (i) something interesting, and (ii) opportunities for versatility. On these counts I'm afraid N8 and N9 win every time. N9 shows a bit of a newsroom, not a grey box.

Some new Financial Markets graphics just appeared in Blue rather than the white - looked good but seemed to through Aaron a bit. Good banter with Tim, I think they were gonna say they weren't used to the different studio.

But they don't like stand up presentation (even though they did it in the mornings of the 2006 revamp in NCool.
