And now a programme about horses. FFS!
And we go with the ten, not good. The BBC are covering it but it all seems preprepared where as sky seems to be rolling.

There's 3 trains with thousands of people on board stuck in the channel tunnel, we're talking about jockeys on crack on the BBC! How professional for us license fee payers!

When the news channel was in N8 there used to be a separate "emergency mixer" upstream of the desk which was effectively the News 24 pres desk. BBC One took a feed off the main desk, but they could cut to a feed from another studio on the emergency mixer (perhaps the clip studio which does the short bulletins and red button summaries or N9) for News24. I suspect a similar arrangement happens with N6 now.
This emergency mixer was how News24 could take Breakfast from TC7 without howling when TC7 cut up N8 for UKToday.
We've now split with the NC carrying Obama's speech. How do they do this whilst the ten is in their studio?

Woke a bit late this morning and noticed, well thought I noticed, that the NC and Breakfast were doing there own thing at 0815 rather than the usual 0828 split, Can anyone confirm. and explain why? Is the studio work the reason?

Its because Breakfast started 'The Bridge' earlier as they were off air at 0850.
And in response to Worzel previously - N9 starts on the morning of 27th December thru to 3rd Jan inclusive.

Breakfast looked great this morning, I liked the red carpet and christmas trees where they normally have the news desk, they definitely used the studio well today.

Which proves the point that they should use the whole studio more often. I don't see why they can't present some of the programme from the desk like they did after the 2006 revamp. It adds a bit of variety to the programme and makes the set look more spacious rather than just coming from a corner.

They did it from there last year too IIRC, so yes it must be over the Christmas period.
Dateline London was in N9 today - is this always the case?
