I think the issue is more that N6 is a purpose-built studio and the lighting is much better than the office space used in N8 and N9 rather than security. I can understand that the 10 wouldn't look as impressive in N8 or N9 but I think the newsroom feel of BBC News 24 was much better than this BBC News Channel.
Meanwhile, long-standing

, Susan d'oilie Osmond, is moving to China because the BBC think she's menopausal. I'll certainly miss her exciting doilie based fashions as she cropped up on random hours on News 24.
seeing as you're so *in* with the osmans, can you tell me if susan protects her furniture by placing hot drinks on formal blouses? if so i think may have identified where susie has been going wrong.
who has presented from westminster today? - I saw Matthew at some point today. Has anyone else been there? Huw?
News at Five was Huw in Westminster and Louise in the studio and on the 2-5 shift was Matthew from Westminster and again Louise in the studio and no one was at westminster for the news at six.
Well the "tree" is now up in N6 on Breakfast this morning. Doesn't look any different to last year's virtual effort.
I was wondering... when they move into N9 over Christmas for the Barco Projector upgrades in N6 - If we will see a real tree in that studio?
If so, my guess is that they'll use the Breakfast tree which is apparently making its first appearance on Monday. Back in the early 2000's, they used to move the Breakfast tree into N8 once it was surplus to requirements.
Sorry if this has been covered already, but when will broadcasting from N9 start?
I believe N6 & TC7 close on Christmas Eve so possibly that day or Christmas Day will be the first day but don't take my word for it. Can't imagine anyone will be working on either studio until Monday 28th at the earliest so possibly then actually. Don't know how long it takes/how hard it is to re-route the channels to their tempory locations.
