In light of the ITV News revamp I thought I would rejudge the BBC and I have to say that I feel the same as I did when it was introduced - it is c**p
. The countdown music is great as ususal - the only thing I like - but I hate the fact that the numbers don't match the beeps anymore - the old way was much better. The News Channel and 10 sets are grant but I hate the colour of the 6. But the graphics, astons and ticker tape are all c**p
. There is too much white in the title sequence and the astons and ticker tape are a downgrade from what was there before - I have seen far superior mocks made on this site. The ones used by the BBC look like a child's work on PowerPoint. Boring Basic and Colourless - time for a revamp

Oh, how ironically accurate!

See we have a new 'Central London' CSO
moving
background picture tonight ... With the London Eye, Thames and Parliament in shot possibly taken from Somerset House.

Worzel, while running the risk of getting a slapped wrist for this comment from the mods, I really think you need to get some help to deal with your fixation about the Barco screens installed by BBC News.
Either apply for a job with the BBC and offer to sort out the problem you think they have, or get a job with Barco and develop a screen to solve all your issues.
I appreciate that your latest comment wasn't your usual 'winge and moan', but the sheer fact that you raised the topic once again was enough to push me over the edge!

Does anyone know when the BBC News channel will be moving out to TC7 for the BARCO replacement?

I have only asked a question, that's all.

It's not so much the question, as it is what's behind it. Over the time you've been here you've been very critical of BBC News, but it always comes across as nitpicking. Your latest nitpick on the Barco screens is just another example of this.
If I were you, I'd be a lot more concerned about the bias that comes out from news broadcasters like Sky News and Fox News, and also, the newspaper industry. Such bias is damaging to our democracy and far more important than any misaligned Barco screen.

Surely there is only one obvious time of year to do this if they do - when the regular shows from the large studio are off-air for a period, allowing the News Channel to move in?

Oh, is everyone else's honesty giving you the hippy hippy shakes?
Seriously Worzel, 400 of your 497 posts have been purely about juddering tickertapes and misaligned projector cubes - so please don't start to slight other forum members with regard to whether their contributions are constructive or not.
Glass houses, dear.
