She was a semi-regular cover presenter around 2006/7 back in the News 24 days. But I've only seen her a couple of times on the "News Channel."


Useful tonight with the Lisbon Treaty and Banking Politics going on, might be intentional in the circumstances.

Yep, so far I've seen versions for Panorama, Radio 1's Newsbeat and a generic one. I quite like them!

I've seen one for Newsround too.

I think they're quite good. It shows the public how much BBC News really does produce though not sure about the "News for you" tagline - bit cheesy.

I think it works in this context as that is the message isn't it? News tailored to 'you'.

Dunno who's voice that was before the countdown - wasn't Ben Brown who was on earlier in the hour.

The Ten is going with it though, not like News at Ten!

as I've just posted on the BBC National News Thread ....

Interesting Snippet on the BBC Homepage seems to indicate that there's no formal late news tonight after the RBLFoR, just says 'Joins BBC News' ... as if the NC team are to present for BBC One tonight.

Will be interesting to see what actually occurs.
