I think it needs to make itself stand out more. At the moment it just seems to be another hour of News 24 but with one presenter.


They don't even stand up on the one! I think they need to make more of the five as well!

Could someone tell me where the start and end stings and the bed music for 'video choice' have been used before? I'm sure they are familiar to me.

It's a wasted opportunity. Why don't they rebrand it as World News Today, refocus the programmes news agenda, and make it stand out more from the rest of the channel.

Does anyone know when the BARCO replacements are due to be happening in N6 (I.e. to the new self correcting screens - to eliminate the crazy paving effect). If I remember rightly, was it due to be done over Christmas?

Well TC7 was done last Christmas, and it did take a while to complete, so over a christmas period would be the most logical time to do it, the news channel could move to TC7. However the question I have to ask is if they inteded to fit them to N6 why did they not fit them when the studio was closed for 2 months 18 months ago?

No, it shouldn't go here. If your question is about rotas, presenters or both it should go in the BBC Presenters & Rotas thread Wink

And his attachment ended and he returned to BBC North West Tonight. There had been talk about him doing odd weekend work for the channel but I for one haven't seen any.
