I was wondering why the delay in a Mail savaging was taking so long, I expected it first thing this morning. And Juicy Joe, are you taking the p or did you actually have an epileptic fit?

Its nice tuning in during the evening, and the background reflecting that...

I'm extremely surprised to see that so many people actually like the new set. Going back to a virtual studio is like going straight back to the 90s. Other than "spartan" it all looks really fake, and the extensive use of grey just looks hideous. In the late 90s here in Italy we had a programme about Formula 1 which was broadcast from a virtual garage of unique ugliness, well it looked just like the current BBC News set!
In simpler words: the new studio is sh*t,

I'll second that and as my comment stated (as read out on the News Channel earlier, the first ever viewer comment read out on the new channel). I expressed how much better it was, using my favourite line on how I felt about the old set in its last 8-12 months service...

Hardtalk at the moment is using the old strap design, wonder when the next new edition will be and how they may adapt the new graphics...

Does anyone know where the sport headlines were presented from at the start of the ten? Was it TC7 or CSO? Can't have been from the normal sports area in N6 as Huw was there - or was it just the other wall?

I love the set, don't understand the point of the titles and hate all the onscreen graphics. Would be better with the last graphics package and reverting back to N24!

Also, I don't understand the point of a 'unity' approach to the regions - surely the majority of viewers won't ever see another region's program [obviously excluding all TVF members and geeks]?

And why is the ticker and clock removed from the online feed? Just stupid!

I must admit I really preferred what we had before this. It really is a bit all over the place. By about 11 seconds into this video of the new titles, you expect the globe to be fully formed, but instead it suddenly judders back again before forming..it's a mess :

Don't like that box, don't like the silly centre-right positioning of the globe, I really have a problem with Gill Sans. What more can I say? The studios arew quite nice, but I think the headline banners and astons were much classier yesterday.

Looks like the CSO studio used for the morning updates & BBCi loops at first glance, although I'm sure someone else here would know better than me.

Notice, by the way, how the slide before you "click to play" is quite different from the actual title, with a far clearer, outlined, "10"...

After a day of use, I agree with you about the titles - the black and red was a lot "classier" - but not the astons. I never really liked the "glassy" astons, which looked busy for the sake of being busy.
