Where can I get one of these hippy shakes you keep referring to, Worzel? I was at three McDonalds yesterday and seven Burger King outlets and they all denied knowledge of a hippy shake, preferring the regular flavors of Strawberry, Vanilla, Chocolate and Banana.

It was suggested that I may inquire at London Zoo. But I corrected them, noting the y in hippy as opposed to the o in hippo. Wink Wink

Will World and News 24 (Channel) be simulcasting today's Edward Kennedy coverage? Anyone know?

Speaking of the Ticker it seems to be set up slightly differently tonight...

The 'Headlines', 'Sport' and 'Interactive' seem to pop up and pause on screen for quite a while before the text scrolls, the captions also don't fade off when the scrolling text reaches them, but as the text enters the screem (on 16:9 anyway).

Isn't he stepping up to Mark Mardell's old position as Deputy Political Editior? I know he's been with the PM in Afghanistan quite recently.

James Landale has been promoted to Deputy Political Editor. Laura Kuenssberg becomes effectively the Chief Political Correspondent (namely on BBC News Channel) and will cover PMQs, etc. You can find out more here http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2009/jul/01/james-landale-bbc-deputy-political-editor

As far as I can remember, Mark Mardell was never Deputy Political Editor. In fact, this position was created specifically for Landale. Mardell used to be the Chief Political Correspondent before moving to Brussels as Europe Editor and, presently, Washington, D.C. as North American Editor (see here http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2009/05_may/08/mardell.shtml)

They seem to be having some sound problems this afternoon on the News Channel. There have been frequent dropouts of sound and crackling. I wonder what's happened?

Hello, I've just tuned into bbc news channel now. They are reporting on the liverpool fan release. Jane Hill is carrying out an interview from where the sport is done. I've never seen this before - Is this normal or a one off?

I have never seen that before, but I remember at least once where the headlines were presented from that area as they were using the main desk for Sportsday.

Maybe a similar reason today?
