I wonder if Carrie will ever get to do a BBC1 bulletin. Out of the main weekday news channel line-up, only her and Chris Eakin dont do any BBC1 work (though Carrie did appear on BBC1 during the Olympics, that seems to be a one-off)

Perhaps they don't want to? Excluding Emily, Jane and Louise, most of the news channel presenters' BBC 1 shifts are at weekends and Chris already works a fairly unsociable shift! Maybe Carrie chooses not to, or perhaps she also does off screen work, such as producing?

Btw, all this talk of Carrie Gracie and her salary really should be in the presenter/ rota folder, seeing as it has nothing to do with presentation Wink

Is it normal for News 24 to show Click at 23:45 on a Saturday evening?

Was going to bed last night and the paper review was on and then they switched to the short showing of Click. Thought that the short version was only shown on a Sunday morning during the Breakfast programme.

They often show it as filler when the BBC One news is on at an odd time

It's also started to judder all over the place again (the Hippy Shakes!). I wish the NC would purge the temp files on their VizRT system regularly rather than wait for the system to become unstable.

Does anyone know why the ticker starts to judder and why when it does it's down to some 'temp' files.

Have they altered the background on the news channel and the one it seems bright with more glowing parts?

The NC not taking the six tonight and stuck with the news conference of Gordon Brown, opting back to Tim Willcox in N6.

Just caught the tail end of a Daily Politics special on the News Channel - Andrew Neil with a panel including Roy Hattersley and Michael Portillo. Nice idea - and a refreshing break from the usual rolling coverage.

In view of the importance of events this week I'm surprised that they're not doing something similar and running the Daily Politics just on the NC tomorrow.

It's been replaced in the BBC Two schedule by the inauguration of the Archbishop of Westminster on Thursday.

Just now on the News channel Louise Minchin started to ask a question about the MP's Expenses scandal but to the wrong guest who appeared on the screen just looking up to the celing and the correct guest started talking over him where Louise stopped him and started again with the correct guest on the screen. You could hear Louise asking what happened afterwards. The wrong guest later appeared on the next story about pornagraphic YouTube videos.

Very strange indeed and rather messy.
