BBC News Channel: Presentation

oooerrr what happened there just went into the weather - rob mcelwee started to talk and then walked off and came back on again.

I think they started playing a ore-recorded forecast then cut to the end of a live one by the looks of it as there was the website and red button information

Looks as though they cut (rather abruptly) to the live feed of the studio, as the forecast shown was pre-recorded.

Has the weekend Sportsday been presented from the main desk for quite a while... or is this relatively new?

First time I've seen it - looks a darn sight better than two presenters cramped around the tiny table they put where sport is usually presented!

sounds like its all go in N6 tonight - just heard a huge crash on the air while the sport was being read.

Hmm - not sure it was a great idea to bung the end frame of the titles in the wall though...

I think the programme name on the backdrop can be smaller.

19:30? I was watching sportsday between 18:30 and 19:00

Sportsday is on twice on a Saturday. As for the original question it's not the first time they've done it from the desk - I saw it like that a few weeks back but I still think it's fairly recent.
