"Mr Horrocks promised to listen to viewer feedback and changes to the new "coherent" BBC news may follow." (The Times)

Please bombard them with complaints about the new cheap-looking astons and ticker!! Laughing

Personally I think the opening titles are great, but the lower thrid graphics are a knock back ten years. Truly dismall compared to the idents.

To put it bluntly, it's like putting a roof-rack on a Ferrari.

Does anyone remember this news story back in 2003 when we were promised all this...

BBC News 24 Revamp

Seems like Mosely's vision was thrown in the bin completely.

I've barely even noticed any Breaking News today on this new channel. Nothing about it grabs your attention.

Interesting to see so many people agreeing this has been a disaster over at the BBC Editors blog. Editors Blog

Can someone please upload some hi-res (not flash) videos as well as pictures? Please? As to the new look, I feel as if they're taking the 'strengthening of the bbc news brand' a bit excessively. They're shoving that box wherever they can!

Urgh, This isn't good for the BBC at all. I think (and hope) most people like the music, but theres comment after comment on that blog that says otherwise.

I feel rather sorry for them, they've spent all of this money, and it's turned into a shambles.
I love the new titles, stings ect. but the color scheme for the on-screen graphics is so wrong.

Bit late but I like the studio, particularly the way sport is presented, I like the new countdown music and the new titles. unsure about the headline bed, but largely dislike the lower third graphics, though I quite like the ticker being grey.

I wonder how improved the astons would be just by simply introducing a small version of the globe motif on the RHS.

Really though those folk at Lambie Nairn must be laughing their heads off at how they've basically resold the BBC virtually the same thing they gave them ten years ago.

All that needed to be done with the astons was a change of colour (the black part to white) and font change to Gill. I really can't understand why they have changed the astons to this over-simplistic mess.

Aside from the astons I think that the new look is good, like the titles, music, and the studio (it doesn't beat the previous however, a live newsroom is always better).

I'll be sad to see these headline style banners(?) go.

HATE that awful grey banner thing. And I hate Gill Sans. The titles are okay, but overall , it certainly isn't an improvement

EDIT: Before my head is bitten off, thankyou to The TV Room, who I've stolen this digital photograph from.

Really nice new look.

Studio is so much more professional and crisp. Nice new music, titles are great. Graphics could do with a bit of work but overall a big improvement.

I seem to be the only one to prefer the simple new bottom third graphics

Gill Sans is not a real problem, yet they really need to rethink about how to arrange the graphics. Well, here's a little tweak of my previous mock of N24 and I think this may look a little bit better Embarassed
