I understand what you are saying, it does have a much better lighting grid in there, but most noticeably on the 6 it comes across a bit dull and the 'newsroom' backdrop doesn't look very sharp compared to N6's

Could this be simply that the desk is further away from the wall in TC7, and so there are depth of field effects that mean the backdrop is a little out of focus?

That isn't the problem however - weren't the light box things above the sofa and desk turned off at some point? The backdrop is also too yellow.

N6 looks far better, and brighter, than TC7. The loss of quality when it goes from the Five to the Six is very noticeable.

I'm not surprised that N6's lighting looks good because it is a proper TV studio after all. It's not coverted office space like N8. The lighting was dreadful in there.

I don't think the current World set has bad lightning, it looks great.
Now that set they use for 6 o'clock news is a disaster, presenters look yellow and the fake newsroom looks ugly.

I don't think its bad in N8, N9 was awful though!

Just a quick question, when will the Christmas tree be put up in the N6? Also, where are they going to place it? Behind/between the presenters or in the left hand corner of the studio, near where the sport comes from, the far wall?

I don't know, but hopefully, they'll put it up tomorrow to coincide with Breakfast putting up their Christmas tree in TC7 tomorrow.

What about BBC World News?

BBC World never puts up a tree and removes it from view if coming from News Channels set... religious reasons probably.

News 24 always used to get Breakfast's tree when they'd done with it

I can't believe that BBC News are not going to be producing Your News and its not going to be made/shown anymore. This is Sad as the programme is very good. Someone at the beeb needs shooting, making the silly decision of axing the show.

Funny thing is that I caught 'Your News' yesterday and thought, "Are they still producing that amateur load of rubbish?" It really is the most dire attempt to get 'our views' on air that I've ever seen. I don't care what the general public want to see on the news - I leave that up to the experts.
