Biased eh? Have you actually ever seen the news generated in another market? I live in the Middle East where TV news is totally biased depending on channel ownership. So Future TV propogates the Lebanese Muslim agenda, LBC the Christian one, etc. Meanwhile, the Dubai-owned stations are all totally uncritical of the Dubai rulers or the UAE government. And this is reflected throughout the region. What of Iranian TV news? Unbiased? Or Cuban, Russian, Dominican, wherever. What of Fox News? I think the BBC, overall, does an amazing job and thank goodness for it.

More BBC bias from the news channel vis-á-vas the Mumbai atrocity / seige / hostage-taking
They avoid using the word 'terrorist' as much as possible because apparently it's an emotive, loaded word. But yet BBC News are more than happy to use the words 'foreigner' (to describe the tourists who were killed) and 'interrogated'. The former carries negative connotations and the latter could imply that Indian police are torturing the terrorists for information. They
always
use the phrase 'foreign national' and the word 'questioned' in relation to such events that take place in Britain, so I don't see why it should be different for India.
I wouldn't bother questioning him, he'll just accuse you of having nothing to add to the conversation and then spout out some other daily mail nonsense three weeks later.
Anyone see the 16:55 weather forecast on BBCNC? Wind speeds of 258mph apparantly
Believe it or not, there are winds over the South West of England, going at approximately 250 mph...
... but they're up in the Tropopause, about 10-15 Km above the earth's surface, and for Southern England, they were the reason why the clouds and rain were moving through so quickly.
The jet stream though is steadily moving south of the UK currently, as it tends to do in Winter.

Believe it or not, you're *wrong*.
You just described the jet stream twice, and it happens AT the tropopause, which is a boundary not a layer. The jet stream brings fronts but doesn't affect the speed of clouds that rain out for the most part.

Without being rude... does this have anything to do with Television presentation?
