While we are on the subject, how come Dateline London is recorded in N6 anymore? Surely N8 is still capable of carrying the programe as it hasn't changed too drastically since N24 moved out. TOTH the news presenter could present from the wall.
Don't think it's been mentioned on here already, so a bit of an advanced head's up that the News Channel may look slightly different this Saturday - from 9am until 2pm it will be coming from TC7, while N6 is used to rehearse obituary procedures.

You shouldn't have said that, newsmonkey. The conspiracy theorists will be getting excited about the prospect of somebody important being close to meeting their maker.

'Black Tie Watch' has probably already started.
Gawd, yes I should probably have added that caveat. It's not that we know something everyone else doesn't, it's merely been a few years since there was a rehearsal and with staff turnover etc it helps to keep skills up to scratch.

Gosh yes i remember the last time there was an actual Obituary (QE-TQM), people were fast to complain about the way it was handled. Lets hope nobody pushes any wrong buttons and N6 gets to air by mistake

Breakfast is billed 6am-10am, so will there be a change of presenters at 9 or a really really long weather bulletin to facilitate a run from N6 to TC7? Or will Breakfast actually be from TC7?

The Channel (including Breakfast) will be from TC7 from 0600 - 1600 on saturday, with Weekend Breakfast remaining in News Channel style.
N6 will be released and ready for TX at 1600, once the engineers have put back all the feeds in the correct places!!! (Most of them are being pulled for obvious reasons!)
More BBC bias from the news channel vis-รก-vas the Mumbai atrocity / seige / hostage-taking
They avoid using the word 'terrorist' as much as possible because apparently it's an emotive, loaded word. But yet BBC News are more than happy to use the words 'foreigner' (to describe the tourists who were killed) and 'interrogated'. The former carries negative connotations and the latter could imply that Indian police are torturing the terrorists for information. They
always
use the phrase 'foreign national' and the word 'questioned' in relation to such events that take place in Britain, so I don't see why it should be different for India.
