Thats beyond a joke they have took it off now, I have always liked that ticker even though its exactly the same as news channel but just because its BBC World News. They do the same for World News America w/ Matt Frei.

During WNA there actually is no ticker during the program, just the DOG

They've taken the Ten, wonder if they'll break away to N8 during the programme? This is pretty major breaking news.

Shocked I can't believe they've taken the Ten. Embley and Wilcox are obviously still going over on World, because they got cut-off mid sentence when they were faded out on the News Channel.

Only Mike is on world now. Wilcox was only there for the domestic audience. How can they not take the Ten? It's from their studio.

Edit: Mike's been joined by Tanya B.

In a case like this, if people wanted the 10, they could go to BBC One - News Channel really should be simulcasting World if they're still covering the bombs.

(When I say should, I mean that I think it should be - if there's internal reasons why not, then sure.)

Umm, they just stay in N8 and simulcast World News.

Does N6 have the ability to produve one programme whilst broadcasting another, though?

No, but N8 could produce for the News Channel & World News, while N6 produces for BBC One.

Shouldn't they be Double Heading on the News Channel? Chris Eakin is great but this story is far too quick for just one presenter to anchor IMHO, can't they bring in Tim Willcox or Alastair Yates to help him. I bet Chris remembers now what its like to present on a daytime schedule shift (like he used to before moving to evenings).

It's interesting to see how N6 and the News Channel holds up as it's got to be the first BIG Breaking News Story since the revamp in April.

The question is whether N6 is needed in order to put the NC on air. If it is required to output the feed from N8 then surely that would mean N6 cannot produce the Ten O'Clock News and output that on BBC One? Since all these changes, I'm not so sure but I know pre-April News 24 did not have a separate presentation gallery like BBC World does.
