What a strange TOTH at 9am. A trailer endboard stayed on screen for about 10 seconds, then abruptly cut to Martine Croxall. Just the headlines, no "This is BBC News, the headlines". Then the titles started, and halfway through them we cut to a very confused martine, complete with the bed still going.

I'm guessing either something crashed or someone hit a few wrong buttons. As you say we got a trailer end board stuck on screen (presumably the countdown wasn't available). At 09:00 it cut to Martine Croxall in N6 for about a second before cutting to BBC World News opening headlines with Martine Dennis. Just before the opening titles displayed BBC World News it cut back to N6 with a rather puzzled looking Martine Croxall and headline bed still playing.
I have to say I'm really enjoying News 24 lately - mainly with Jon Sopel in the afternoons. Nice banter (I hate that word) between Jon and Karin Giannone at the moment with a sweepstake on when the PM and Berlusconi would be emerging from the doors, and some laughter as Jon nearly used the opportunity to cross to sport with Celina Hinchcliffe using Obama Barack's "pig in lipstick" quote. I'm becoming a news channel geek again. Now to sort out those graphics.
More problems around the ten?! We cut from the weather forecast, to a presenter getting ready in the WN studio. Then to a bit of a report about the big bang. Then to a close up of the globe, and now we have the countdown without the numbers....
EDIT: Then we cut to the full countdown with numbers.....

Must be the longest countdown they've had to encounter. It's going to end up being around 2 minutes 30 long. Hearing some nice music I've not heard before though.
Not the first time the Weather has been butchered like that. This has happened before - albeit the last time I saw it, the pre-countdown filler didn't go on for
that
long...

The big bang happened at the News Channel obviously.
