Just watching Dateline London at the moment... Is it just me or has the studio background frozen? There's no movement at all.

There is often little visible movement as such. Usually only flickering screens in the background are the only indication that it's a potentially more dynamic set.

I'm aware of that - there did not appear to be any flickering at all. The screens were all static, and there was none of the usual movement - such as with the elevators that are supposedly off to the left hand side.

BBC News played at 75 second countdown (without numbers) up to 23:00.

Does anyone know how long that sequence can be in full?

The music is up on David Lowe's Website. This version goes for 1 minute:

Nice banter between John Sopel and Matt Taylor around 1527 this afternoon. Matt was busy eating an ice lolly just before the forecast and the presenters were a bit jealous Smile Also a good blooper at about 1555 - the wrong person came up on the live interview screen and they didn't know what to do.

I saw the one just before 4pm, Sophie started to panic and got confused but Jon just handled it calmly and made a joke out of it. IMO he is by far the best BBC Newsreader

If she was Scottish probably Juliet Dunlop, though I didn't see the news last night.

Yeah that's it. She was quite terrible actually. Watching the newspaper review was cringe-worthy. She had no clue what the reviewer was talking about, and looked lost, ushering him on to the next paper with zero banter. Has she presented before?

Its not really a countdown as such, they use it as a filler - often when BBC1 is overrunning. Smile

WRONG:
Thats just the 90 second countdown, when it reaches 60 seconds, theres a thunderclap and the numbers come on.

She often presents the overnight slot and also presents the headline loops on BBCi.
