Could the BBC News Channel get the script changed please?
There is to be a result - SINGULAR - of the Glasgow East By-election tomorrow night so why are we being continually promised ...
All the Result S as THEY come in - tomorrow night/
(providing of course it doesn't come in at around 3am and crash the NC schedule)

Well, there are result s , there will be a number of candidates and each will get their votes. Therefore there will be result s in that each candidate's amount of votes is a result.

A single result of an election it is.
Incidentally has a heard of wilderbeest invaded the studio?
The NC isn't taking the six tonight (Omaba speech in Berlin) the changeover betwixt the Five and the evening NC presenters was extremely noisy, perhaps the weather shouldn't have been done in the NC studio.

Does anyone know where Jon Sopel is broadcasting his interviews from tonight on the BBC NC? At first glance I thought it was the atrium at ITN (they have used ITN's facilities before for election coverage); but it wouldn't make sense to drag 8 people all the way to London when there must be comparable facilities in Scotland.

No idea. Where would the BBC do a programme from about a Glasgow election. Can't imagine they'd use the BBC Scotland headquarters, so it must be somewhere else.

I knew BBC Scotland had moved but I had no idea what their new building was like. Having seen that website it's obviously from there; although you could have just explained that without the sarcasm, Moz.

Damo, that lady sitting to the right of Jon Sopel is the excellent and smoky-voiced Fiona Ross, former Political Reporter on STV's Scotland Today and now a private media consultant.
Alongside me, I think Fiona is the only other person in Scotland who used to smoke (and sound like) sixty a day!!
Great to see that she is still out and about on the political circuit.
Back on topic - that new BBC Glasgow building looks quite nice, actually. It's amazing what you can do with some purple lights.
