Though some pages still have the old one...

Is this a sign of a possible graphics refresh onscreen? Would be nice.

That's been there at least a week, although I guess no-one thought it worthy of mentioning it here.

I hope so! It's not that I hate the current graphics, but a refresh would be nice as it is the fifth year that the graphics have been in use by my reckoning and the current intro has been in use since 2008 (excl. the slight change in 2013).

I expect it's an update to accommodate the wider page widths being introduced.

If anything it's closer to the current graphics anyway.

Nice to see the Newsnight repeat dropped tonight in the wake of breaking news relating to the sacking of the chief of the FBI - it was still trailed at the 11pm TOTH so must have been a late decision. Nice that they retain the flexibility to carry on if needs be (although there is a good argument that they shouldn't bother repeating Newsnight just as it finishes anyway...)

Clive Myrie quite often presents the Five if Huw is absent and still does his regular evening shift too.

Sport seems to be coming from the secondary studio today for some reason

They are - and were yesterday for some time too I believe. Presenters are being trained on a brand new touchscreen plasma in the main set - there was a photo on Twitter.

Are there any plans for the BBC News channel to run any special programmes on the direct run up to the General Election?

I believe they ran Election Today at 7:30pm on the lead up to the 2015 election, but nothing so far this time around.

Election today was at 08:30 and Election Tonight was at 19:30 and 21:30 (repeat).
Last time also featured a break from double headed presentation for the whole campaign and Ben Brown and Jane Hill being out on location except when covering BBC1 shifts, as well as Christian being based at the weather screen.

Was that former Thames TV announcer Tom Edwards during Hugh Pym's NHS cyber attack report on the Ten? He was referred to as "Tom" - no aston appeared.
