No but the other day there was a tiny gap between the clock and the news ticker (gone now), maybe they are playing around with it for some reason.

The blue line's visible on the iPlayer stream too.

I think it is the end of the BBC OS contact us bar, it alternates between Ros' twitter and the hashtag for the programme and it looks as if the graphic doesn't move to the right enough to be off screen so it accidentally pokes in the side

But it's permanently on screen, not just during OS.

For those who haven't seen this yet it's an interesting watch.

What's happening with the weather on a weekday evening now that there is a block of Outside Source?

The early evening weather forecasts (19:27, 19:57 and 20:27) are all pre-recorded to allow the weather presenter have their break so it's not really an issue.

Just in case anyone thinks It's Friday and wonders why 100 Days is on

Apparently a Singapore only edition of Newsday that doesn't even include the elections in the headlines is an appropriate programme for the News Channel to be broadcasting on election night...
Brekkie and uktvwatcher gave kudos

Ticker claiming they'll be updates on the election at xx:25 however just gone straight from a really poor ending to Newsday to the weather.
EDIT: after the weather into election coverage with Mike Embley and John Curtice, looks like someone was unavailable for work at last minute on the worst possible day.

That was all a bit weird, wasn't it? At 00:25 Newsday ended and they went to the weather, which was a very short forecast with the weather handing back after about a minute. We then joined Mike Embley in Studio C, for a four minute or so chat with John Curtice about the local election results, before a prerecorded HARDtalk. What did BBC WN viewers see? I thought they might run up to 00:30 and then do a clean opt for headlines and a clean opt out, but at 00:30 they were mid interview?

I see they've got a ticker producer in for the night too, which is a nice change from the RSS feed headlines overnight normally!

Not sure if there is a presentation thread dedicated to the national bulletins.

They ended tonight's bulletin with a French election montage over the countdown music. Surprised they didn't use a special closing theme instead - it's a bit odd hearing the countdown leading up to the end of a bulletin!

Unsure whether this is permenant, but the long titles rolled at the top of the hour this afternoon at 14:00. There was no camera sweeping across the newsroom.

The BBC NEWS square logo was on screen until the ticker appeared at 14:02. Some technical gremlins or someone bit slow in pressing buttons Rolling Eyes

They used the long titles because they were preparing to cut to Damian Grammaticas (who I think was there for World News) in Paris.

Always wondered what the 'long' titles are called in the gallery at NBH. Maybe Media Boy can enlighten us.
