Is this a filler programme during the local opt Outs? Have they ever considered taking a quick look at the rundowns of stories across the different regions and deciding to take the full broadcast that seems most interesting to viewers.[/quote:0689467415]
It was going to be a separate programme for evening broadcast featuring the top regional stories outside of the local opt time.

Isn't that a breakfast specific background though I don't think in real life the newsroom can be made to look like that breakfast background.

BBC News needs to update the 'live' loop they use as the background for DTL interviews from the newsroom.
It seems they have recently replaced the red fabric barrier in the reception area overlooking the newsroom with a more permanent semi-transparent covering on the glass, which looks much better.

It is a 3 minute loop that I think James Mobbs created for the programme. It was apparently longer but the longer version meant people jumped about which was noticeable to viewers more so than the shorter repeat.

Was it an empty chair or empty catwalk moment?
Gavin Greys turn to be caught out by the wrong TOTH camera opening, also it appears that in half an hour the time will be 10.30.

He would still be dead at 6.30.
I wonder if the BBC News Channel will break away from the 6, what with the still-unconfirmed news of Prince's death.
