It's an old video. It happened in 2015.

Yes, I'm aware of that. Rolling Eyes

That awkward moment when a joke doesn't quite get through.

Ooh, sorry...

Not sure if this has been shared on here before, but it shows how Studio A operates with some rather nice behind the scenes shots.

I forget isn't the reflection of their desktop virtual as well? And say if they needed the whole studio minus the desk how hard could it be to remove it and position it in the same place?

I guess they could put a green cloth over the desk to key it out.

That studio looks much more obviously virtual compared to the ITV News

Is that simply because the BBC's is a virtual replica of a real set, whereas ITV's is an entirely computer generated set?

That said, there must be a good reason why they haven't gone into Studio C and taken a bunch of photos and stitched together a 360 degree panorama and built that as a virtual set to use in A?

A 360 panorama is from a fixed viewpoint - you wouldn't be able to move the camera around in it.

Stange issue on the BBC News Channel at the moment with an odd mark on the screen on several camera angles and a VT

Any idea what could have caused this?

Spotted a strange fault on BBC News Channel just now.

I can only describe it as a close-up transparent face covering the whole screen for 20 seconds or so - it looked like screen burn.

Anyone able to get a capture? The face looked slightly terrifying.

Edit: I've replayed it on iPlayer. It looks like a frame of a photo they showed seconds earlier partially stayed on the mix.

Looks like something key'd (not very well) onto the output. Hard to say whether it's an error, or somebody deliberately mucking about.
