Indeed - we even had turquoise on the Ten....

Is it possible for those coloured strips in Studio E to change colour from the standard red? I've seen plenty of evidence that they do but I'm adamant that they can only be red as they look red when they're turned off.

Is it just my screen or did the red of the catwalk get a lot brighter?

I wonder if they've done a little upgrade here I am sure someone here posted here it was literally red walls and couldn't be changed, either way it's about time that they tried different lighting effects with studio e Very Happy

Would look good if boxes were lit that shade of blue for the business news. Would certainly give it more of a Business Live feel.

They would have to change the BBC business titles to match the blue of World Business Report and Business Live I think.

The led lit panels look dark reddy-brown when switched off in all the studios.

So why have they started doing this on the Six and Ten? Just to give a greater thematic feel to the lead story?

IIRC studio lighting wasn't, at the time these studios came into use, controlled by the automation (unlike most other aspects, such as control of cameras, running orders, sound etc.). So could it be that there were gallery crew implications in the News Channel/national bulletins not adapting the lighting before (I.e. no-one normally present who would be free to adjust the lighting, certainly mid-programme?), or that the lighting could now have become part of the automation (weren't upgrades/updates to the automation system on the way?).

They are, of course, also limited to a predominately red colour scheme by the various red fixtures in the newsroom (including the half-height glass screens around the outer walls of the studio), that don't limit studios A, B, C or D.

Just as I had spotted an RSS ticker error during Business Live, the background loop from Shanghai ended and changed to what looked like a DVD title screen.

The text on the left says Bund Day, i.e. a day shot of the Bund area in Shanghai, one presumes.

Also noticed during Biz Live, during the NC opt, Victoria Fritz handed back to the studio a tad too early, so was left with a wide shot of the studio with the presenters talking to the studio guest before World returned.
