Caught an edition of Reporters recently and it raised a couple of questions.
Firstly, why is it stuck using graphics in the style of those pre-BH (as seen below)- they animate and even replace the standard name straps etc used in reports, so it's as if there's special effort going to chuck some outdated graphics on.
(Speaking of show-specific graphics, strange that Newsnight hasn't been taken in line now it's shown on the NC, and odd that there is such a strange array of show-specific graphics - Newswatch and HARDtalk use semi-transparent black backgrounds to their straps with show branding on the strap outside the safe area [but not with the gradual fade to the colour of the strap used on the NC when they have story-specific branding]. Meanwhile on an extratime I saw the other day there was a gap at the left side of the strap where it stopped short of the edge of the screen for some reason.)
Secondly, is there a difference between Reporters and UK Reporters (both of which are scheduled on BBC World News)? If so, Reporters UK doesn't seem to be shown here, but surely it would make sense for it to be?

Ooer, how long is it since they stopped using the LSE for Breakfast business news?
If this will be used on air, they really have gone full circle with the business news. They went from scrapping it, to bringing it back, to introducing a dedicated business show, to getting a new set in the LSE. Meanwhile Sky have scrapped their bulletins...

I imagine so, the one BBC News (Breakfast) used previously was owned by the LSE and as such, Sky News also used it in the days of Michael Wilson.
It doesn't look very BBC - so is it just a generic LSE studio they can just rent as and when they want/need it?

CNN used it as well IIRC.

It never looked very BBC. It wasn't owned by the BBC (and still isn't). There are three studios at the London Stock Exchange, with a fourth marketed as a studio which is more of a conference room which you could use for a recorded interview.
