Think there may have been a problem with that VR circular thing that displays the date and time (sorry, don't know the technical term for it). When coming back into the 1130 junction it appeared to be spinning onto the floor!
For no apparent reason, today's Newsroom Live at 11am started with just the generic titles, sans trundle cam, which are normally reserved for when the main presenter is on location.

Ouch . . .
Why deform the
BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra
logo this way. They managed to keep the
BBC Sport
one in proportion?

They didn't use the square (circular) sports extra logo.

And as we can see, both Women's World Cup matches have now been moved to BBC1, and with the potential for extra time and penalties in the afternoon match it makes sense to get the regional news out earlier so it definitely won't have to be dropped.
Given there is tennis, Glastonbury and the Women's World Cup on Saturday afternoon, all of which could wildly overrun and the latter of which may have featured England when the schedules were finalised, it seems pretty sensible to move it out of the way of all that to me.

While we are on the topic, when did they stop doing the lunchtime regional news on Saturday?
