I'm wondering where Martine Croxall is with the Papers? She announced that would be an edition at 10:30. Instead we have WNA with Laura Trewelyn from Washington.

Breaking news from Turkey has changed the schedule again.

Has it evolved so much that they need to change the schedule? The Papers times were announced by her during the regional news slot on the 10 opening.

That was some cut just then.

I'd say yes. It potentially could be one of the biggest overthrows of a government in recent times, could cause unrest and bloodshed on the streets of Turkey and there's a potential hostage situation as well.

They'd obviously already pulled the Sport by then, otherwise that would have been the bit during the regional teaser slot. But two massive international stories at once will understandably cause some chaos in the schedules.

The whole intro for the 10, the links, the headlines, and the intro graphics, all appeared within Pushback, for some reason.

Didn't know they could add pushback just on News Channel (it wasn't on BBC One) - I was hoping they were going to use it to have news about Turkey on the right with the News at Ten going on screen left. This way the News Channel could cover breaking news graphically during simulcasts.

Yes! I notice compared to last night there wasn't a handover to Kasia Mederia is C. Is Martine Croxall going to join her in C (again for her) for more double headed presentation? If anything, this would be the time for it, especially with both breaking stories happening now.

I think we can all agree on one thing. It's been one of the busiest 3/4 days for the news channels in recent times. New prime minister on Wednesday, new cabinet announcements on Thursday morning, Nice attack on Thursday night and now the Turkey coup tonight.

Co-incidentally, last time there was a 'mid term' prime minister change, in 2007, it was also an extremely busy news week. Very bad flooding on the Monday, Tony Blair/Gordon Brown handover on the Wednesday, a device of some sorts found in London on the Friday (I forget the specifics) and the Glasgow Airport attack on the Saturday

I would agree with that but its been pretty much none stop for the UK broadcasters for the last month

It will all be forgotten in a couple of weeks when there's a quiet few days, and they decide where to make the next cuts.

Martine did indeed join Kasia in Studio C (With the Papers cancelled)
