This BBC World angle really is terrible at a time like this when more than the usual 5 people might be watching the news channel on a Wednesday night. The UK’s PM is going to talk about the UK’s future etc etc.

Totally agree, hate this international look at our domestic affairs on our BBC News Channel

Outside Source is the worst of the BBC World News shows, they could have picked Impact, GMT, Global, but no they give us this on screen gimmicks show instead.

I really like OS - love its fresh approach.

On the papers the overhead camera was used for the Times

Yes - when running through the front pages at the start Martine became puzzled about which one was on screen (as it's all about Brexit) and started talking about the Guardian when she realized the Daily Fail was on screen so told the gallery to switch to the overhead shot of the Times and make her life easier! She's brilliant!

I thought it was because The Times was fresh in and they hadn't got it on the graphics yet.

Interesting OB with Natalie Pirks seemingly controlling some on screen graphics via an iPad from Wembley in the News at Six.

Never seen it before. Couldn't cap it.

Remember i said that since the last clock change, there couldn't be two News at Nines (due to the morning one launching hence why Outside Source has been as normal Monday-Thursday) Well

Well technically tonight it's just a standard hour of BBC News. And if your looking at it like that, you could argue that until Victoria Derbyshire launched, there were two News at Nines on the News Channel each day for over 17 years.

Looks like Chris Fawkes wasn't able to record his 3pm weather forecast for whatever reason, as when Simon McCoy threw to the weather just before 3pm, a clip of Simon King talking about the weather was played instead.

Just come across this Tweet from Janet McAllen which was linking to this unofficial countdown history of BBC News countdowns

Yes, Chris Mason does have a habit of pulling the most bizarre and silly faces quite frequently...

Oh, you meant the Reuters test card. Sorry. Laughing

Why Reuters?

Because they were providing the pooled feed?
