Although, I was alarmed to see a dreadfully tacky bit of AR between 0:06 and 0:09. Presumably that's a regular feature ?

As part of Radio 1's LOLathon, Simon McCoy revealed that the infamous 2013 A4 paper incident was really him planning a prank on Carrie Gracie - but it went awry: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m00034ws (go to about 14:20).

Very funny if that's really the truth. A reminder:

There has to be a better way to handle the switch from Breakfast just before 8.30 on weekdays, than having two weather forecasts by different presenters less than 10 minutes apart. This morning, we had Matt doing Breakfast weather followed by a chat between Dan & Louise and then another weather forecast. It just looks terrible.

I also miss the more pointed way of saying that News Channel viewers were about to head off with the shot of the presenters getting ready in the studio for the upcoming bulletin. I know this would now be Business Live and might not work because the preceding WN bulletin presumably ends at 8:26 and so the presenters might not be at the desk in time for the start of the bulletin!

Why don’t News channel show a simulcast with bbc World News, extend the Briefing with an extra hour so it leads into Business Live, I don’t understand why News channel has to show Breakfast, most people will just it watch it on BBC One with their regional news.

Isn't BBC Breakfast shown with sign language on the BBC News Channel?

I believe about the first 15 mins of each hour is?? I think the One O'Clock News is also signed on the News Channel simulcast.
