HardTalk has been coming from A lately ever since 100 Days + launched.

HardTalk came from D this week. A right royal shuffle.

Sorry, I got my studios screwed up. It’s been in D since a 100 Days +. My mind was thInking that since BBC London News launched first at NBH that it was studio A.

A is the green-screen studio used for VR.

When BBC London News moved from Marylebone High Street to NBH they were in a temporary studio in the space originally designated for the BBC Shop, that space was then re-allocated to The One Show.

Studio D (BBC London's current studio) wasn't ready by the time The One Show needed the space, so BBC London did move into Studio A as an interim solution for some of their bulletins ISTR.

This work is probably in no way related to Reith, but I really hope it is!

Are you on commission?

No, just like new TV presentation. Oddly enough!

Wasn't Victoria Derbyshire due to rebrand last week. Maybe its this server work that delayed it

I know the newsroom shots are pre recorded whilst their in Studio D but it is kind of amusing seeing Kate Silverton in the newsroom preparing for a bulletin and then cutting to her live in the studio.

And (just in time for tonight's Early Evening Bulletin with Clive Myrie) E is back up and running.

The work this past weekend was video server installation. They were installing Grass Valley sQ1200s and it appears that they were being installed in some of the English regions this weekend. I thought BBC used Ravens as their video playout servers?

Raven is used as an ad hoc playout engine, particularly on small news trucks. Quantel servers are used for editing media storage and playout in studios. In English regions Raven is generally used to playout camera card rushes into Quantel.

Do we reckon the News Channel ticker crashing is related to the Victoria relaunch or just a coincidence?

The ticker has been acting strangely for a while now, especially overnight. I would say it is just a coincidence.
