News Channel from Studio D once again this morning.

Studio D is a hard studio, right? Not virtual.

Is it the same one they use for HardTalk?

Studio D is used mainly for local BBC London News. The virtual studio is studio A.

HardTalk comes from Studio C, where the majority of BBC World News bulletins and the BBC News at Five come from.

They must clearly be doing something (i.e working on the servers as it was last week) that clearly cannot wait for Bank Holiday Weekend (which admittedly is not til the middle of April!)

But with pitch side adverts, it's something they have no control over.

How prevalent are virtual pitch-side ads these days? I remember seeing a demo on Tomorrow's World in the 80s or 90s and it was very impressive.

Those, at least, could be removed, although I expect there'd be all sorts of contractual wrangling to make sure that didn't happen.

HardTalk has been coming from A lately ever since 100 Days + launched.

Edit: I should have written D.

Sorry, I got my studios screwed up. It’s been in D since a 100 Days +. My mind was thInking that since BBC London News launched first at NBH that it was studio A.

The original BBC London studio space is now used for the One Show, Studio D actually opened (quote a long while) after A/B/C/E.
