Could have been BBC News at 9.45. They were struggling so much to fill that last half hour I suspect they were knocking on BBC2's door to borrow an episode of Coast.

The show doesn't re-use the BBC News straps etc, so lets see what they do with those and Reith. Is it confirmed the show is getting a refresh on Monday?

Phone in shows do well on the Radio, and so having a discussion show makes a lot of sense. Reducing the runtime is not great, but if they focus on a single story to discuss, the next news bulletin is not too far behind
