The on-screen graphics use Swiss, but the logo is in Gill Sans.

I think over a few months it wont be a big issue.

Ideally I would like the whole thing re-freshed, re-newed, and in place in one go.

Of course, the changes may only be minor and not much other than the font will change eventually

Bit of a whoops moment on BBC News during the announcement, would it have been caused by somebody sat too close to the BBC’s microphone or was it over the feed?

Another major news day and a live football match on BBC ONE to be played to a conclusion tonight.

What could possibly go wrong?

Shocked

I'm confused how this introduction of Reith to News is going to phased throughout the year... They can't have half the graphics in Reith with the BBC News DOG and ticker in the current typeface...

This is the BBC - of course they can.

Seems you were right Brekkie...! Confused

Given the game kicks off at 7.30pm, even if there were extra time and penaltes the news would be a few minutes late if that (and more likely the football analysis would be shunted off sharpish - as the BBC have done many a time before).

The issue might actually be more with filling the football coverage time - especially if the match is done and dusted before 9.30. 30 minutes with no ad break could be quite challenging.

Not sure it's that big a news day either - in a months time or so today will probably seem pretty quiet.

It's telling of what?

Sounds fair enough to me. Honda closing its Swindon factory is a big story, even ignoring the Brexit angle, its a massive blow to the economy in that part of the country. Over 3,000 jobs at the plant itself and who knows how many thousand in the supply chain and connected businesses in the region.

That affects real people compared with a few shadow ministers, most of whom no-one's heard of.

I think the Draw for the Quarter finals is after the match has finished.

I think you'll find in particular the resignation of Luciana Berger will have historical consequences.

I’d say that very much depends on where your political allegiances lie.
