Being a journalist is all about being the 'most cheeky' of course. Part of the new BBC News Banter Channel lauching in early March...

It is coming, a lot of work has gone into how BBC News will use the various versions of Reith.

Sorry to ask, is that you *assuming* the above, or do you have some sort of tip-off?

I'm really keen to see Reith Serif used as I love the way it's used on BBC Two and think it'd fit well into News.

Considering deejay's job, I'd say it's not an assumption.

That didn’t sound accidental at all, but it’s impossible to prove that it wasn’t.

Gracie and McCoy are probably in competition as to who can be the most cheeky.

I’m not sure most in the media would regard saying the C word on daytime TV as ‘cheeky’

You can’t even say it on post watershed Channel 4 without copious warnings before hand from the continuity announcer

Ah, sorry. I didn’t know what his job was!

So can you say which will come first, website or onscreen - or both together?

So. Derby County have won penalties. Good for them. BBC News at Ten is not too close now.

The news channel is currently looping it's non-time sequence, clearly waiting for BBC One to wrap up. About 5 minutes and counting.

I'm surprised there's any top left on that pen Joanna Gosling's been chewing.

To be fair it seems quite a common Freudian slip to make and seems to happen to quite a lot of presenters and reporters on stories regarding Jeremy Hunt, not just on the BBC.

Maybe that's just what they all call him off-air.

I have always wonder why BBC One main news doesn't take the pure news channel feed with ticker and why programmes like Afternoon Live, Newsroom Live and News at Five / Nine don't have the programme name above BBC News like on BBC World?

She seems to imagine she's some some sort of 'untouchable' these days.

Does she? How can you possibly know this?

It seems there are several people on this page justifying their criticism of Carrie Gracie by telling us what she's probably thinking.

She comes over to me as smug, maybe she's not, maybe she is, but that's how I perceive her

Admittedly I get the same impression, (potentially deliberately) saying the C word on air almost seemed like a challenge to the bosses.
