A couple of issues with World Business Report this morning. First off, the cameras weren't playing ball at the top of the show:
...

I also thought Aaron was saying 'breakfast' instead of 'brexit' a couple of times, but that might've just been me feeling hungry.

He continued saying Breakfast right up until Business LIve.

News at Six had camera problems today meaning intro was using the opposite side of the catwalk.
Also the weather was done from a green screen instead of in Studio E

They did well to work around the issues really. Looks like the camera at the very back has gotten stuck.

In the 8pm hour they played out an interview with James Landale talking to Rachel Schofield that appeared to have been recorded in Studio C, with the newsroom backdrop. I'm struggling to work out when that would have been recorded (Huw did the 5 from C) unless it was done as a special pre-rec (rather than as a repeat of earlier output) during the Six.

The only reason I ask is that World News Today came from Washington for some reason, and I was trying to work out whether it was because the NC had borrowed C while the camera issue in E was sorted (with World originating either from another gallery, perhaps A) but I'm not sure that is the case.

For those that don't know, there is a strike by World News Journalists starting tomorrow at Noon for 24 hours-This was posted over in the World News Thread but am posting it here as well as it will affect output on the NC tomorrow and Friday.

We've heard about the proposed merger of World and the News channel, but for a few moments this afternoon we had a merger of Sky News and BBC News. News channel crossed to Theresa May's supporters outside the commons expecting some reaction/comment to her Tory leadership race and seemed to mistake Jon Craig from Sky News doing a piece back to Osterley as one of her backers, to the amusement of his former colleague Simon McCoy.

Why would he be standing in front of the collection of press microphones?

Is that green screen? Looks very fake.

Something about it doesn't look right, as least they're making use of the virtual studio though!

It doesn't look as realistic as ITV News's green screen based studio

Looks as if it were created on MS Paint and rendered on powerpoint.. Then again, anything created in-house by the BBC looks amateur compared to ITN/SKY
