Just yet another variation of the same old. Whether it's new titles for Breakfast, new segment on the news channel or new titles for one of the regions it's just the same old with a slight tweak. There is nothing new or innovative here, just some AR shoehorned in.

It's probably me, but BBC News presentation feels tired. I'd love them to do something different now.

I actually do like the new titles but feel they would be better with the old music. The new music sounds like something from one of the regions.

The way they've attempted to throw in another globe animation looks messy -- it just doesn't work.

I find it somewhat surprising that, for me, ITV's current look has aged a lot better than the BBC's, considering ITV uses a virtual set. I wonder if it's because it hasn't been tweaked as much.

I honestly have never thought the David Lowe music works with the extra strings added on.

For me personally with regard to Afternoon Live and now Newsroom Live, would it help if the BBC News (Channel) did what BBC World News did with it's feature programming [GMT / Impact / Global / Focus On Africa] and leave the generic stuff at the door and develop stuff that is a lot more unique but keeping within the overall BBC News (Service) stylings?

Working to the style rather than nicking from it.

Just a thought I had.

The ITV News tweaks have all been positive and well done.

It’s more spot on with BBC World News, the branding is based on the programme name, the lighting is based on the programme presented and they kept the beeps so it still ties in, there’s more variety and presentation with World News and they get the very best out of Studio B and C during weekdays.

I’m not sure about how World News is budgeted but doesn’t BBC Global News (or whatever owns the Channel now) essentially pays BBC News for producing the content? Maybe BBC GN has more money to spend for individual show or specifies how and what it should look as it’s a commercial channel.

Looks like a few technical issues on Afternoon Live. Autocue appeared to be broken in the last 15 minutes as Ben was reading from his script, now they're replaying the 2pm hour.

OpenMedia has fallen over in W1, which is causing - um - a bit of badness.

News Channel repeating the 2pm hour just now. Ben Brown's autocue hasn't been working for a while in the last hour, must be bigger problems than that
