I don’t think it’s always been the case ? Why is the sports news ‘teaser’ from Salford at the top of the 10pm news, as seen on the News Channel in upscaled SD and not native HD ?

I've noticed that too and I'm certain it never used to be.

That explains why it's been looking more and more like a super generic news bulletin for a while Rolling Eyes

What's "Augmented Reality"? Confused Didn't realise they needed a new set.

Probably the same thing that’s used for The Papers. In my opinion a lot of instances of AR only works welll when there’s a large open space.

It would be good to see the return of the short lived programme name straps above the DOG and clock. World News make good use of them.

I wonder if we'll get any hints as to what the refreshed BBC News could look like with the NL refresh?

Would be nice if we saw some presentation from out in the newsroom pit itself, but I doubt that'll happen!

Sounds interesting, yes would love to see a whole hour perhaps 5pm presented live from the newsroom, Just need to get rid of Victoria Live now, having said that have not seen the twitter carousel on Afternoon lately

Looking forward to this. Also exactly 1 year from when Afternoon Live launched.

Is the Reith font finally going to make an appearance as part of the new look?

Why? This is why we build studios.

The headache for the crew alone of having to produce a news bulletin from an office environment every day is good enough reason not to try. We have a compromise – a glass box within the newsroom.

I'm pretty sure people would get tired of the novelty of an office-based bulletin, especially when those variables that are otherwise carefully controlled in the studio begin to detract from the content itself.

Kind of unnecessarily. The program, if it can even be considered anything different from other bulletins, had a nice opening music theme that was still young (2 years is it?).

Just confirms that BBC News is still far from a general revamp that would give it a whole new look after 20 years of beeps and same stuff.

they will probably do what they did with Afternoon Live, use the normal background and globe for the titles and put some text and glossy effects over it, the only place to see really new titles is on BBC World News.

Maybe they could change Studio E to a global style light blue or something and maybe try with Augmented reality changing what normally is red in the background to blue if they are trying gimmicks.

In all honesty the current Newsroom Live titles werent bad at all.
