Yes, and most of the afternoon as well, they showed it continously for about two hours. To my mind, important and compelling story that it is, I'm not sure it required rolling coverage for that length of time - didn't even stop for the weather - at the expense of everything else. But that's what they did.

Today's pre-1pm Weather recording was cut short after only about 10 seconds, resulting in some filler being played. But when the countdown sequence was shown, the music from the countdown-less filler kept playing the whole time.

The NC has also broken away from the News at 1 to cover Boris Johnson's speech. However, names that are appearing on the News at 1 are also appearing on the NC. I'm also unsure if the signer is looking at News at 1 or Boris.

Also, to note yesterday, during the News at One with Ben Brown, the camera being broadcast went walkies, while Ben just read the script, and by the time the camera was back to position, he just introduced the VT.

Over the last week or so, there's been so many issues with the cameras and VT's that I suspect the BBC are doing some technical update that has gone very wrong, as I haven't seen so many issues with them for a long time (at least, not so close together and on consecutive days).

I don’t think it’s always been the case ? Why is the sports news ‘teaser’ from Salford at the top of the 10pm news, as seen on the News Channel in upscaled SD and not native HD ?
