I've always liked Kate Silverton. She seems really friendly and down to Earth. I bet McCoy misses having a co presenter (even though he's great on his own and with the business/sport/weather presenters). It really was like the old days yesterday:

I don't want to dignify the Express with a click or a link, but I see from Google that they're running this with the headline "BBC News: Simon McCoy with X-rated joke as Strictly Come Dancing contestant BLOCKS camera"

So wish they still had double-headed presentation. I miss Matthew & Jane, Jon & Louise - those where the days. Sad

Is it just me, or does the ticker always seem to break overnight? I swear this isn't the first time it has shown a single headline on repeat.

It’s not just you. The ticker also seems to be taken from 11.30pm every evening now, during the second paper’s review and regularly stops working overnight.

I suspect it’s acting in a similar manner to when there is breaking news, where the only story shown is the same thing on repeat, although at least they take the time to fix it over time as information becomes available on rhe news channel for such breaking stories, rather than doing nothing.

I just wonder why it breaks, because it appears to have just started randomly.

Not sure about stamping an interview with a murdered mother and daughter's family with "BBC NEWS EXCLUSIVE". Bit tasteless/tabloidy to me.

'Bodyguard' on BBC One is certainly making the most of the BBC News team at the moment, isn't it! Nice to see some mostly faithful recreations of the BBC News Channel lower-thirds (and on one occasion so far, BBC Parliament's!), and also a broad range of presenters and correspondents.

The first episode featured a fake Andrew Marr interview, Studio B and all, and since then we've had plenty of BBC News voices from TV and radio alike. Not that often that you hear Today Show presenters doing a cameo in a primetime drama! Also nice to see that we've had some perhaps less well-known News Channel correspondents pop up, not just the big names like Laura Kuennsberg (who has also featured) - I think last week's episode featured Vicki Young, the Chief Political Correspondent and occasional relief presenter for the News Channel.

Humans on Channel 4 has made quite a lot of use of BBC News, if I remember rightly, although I don't recall seeing any familiar presenters on screen.

There's nothing worse for pulling you out of a story than an actor pretending to be a newsreader...

Okay who are these people of Newsday featured here on the xfinity stream app? Sometimes shows with the same title have their images screwed up. However I’m not aware of another Newsday TV show.

Somebody confused the words News and Service. There is also a radio programme on the BBC World Service called Newsday.
London Lite, Ittr and Josh gave kudos
