Some interesting tibbits there including (when the snap election got called last year) they approached BBC1 Because they thought something big was going to happen (and it did!)

Also interestingly the title for Beyond 100 Days is under constant review-it will end up being Beyond 1000 days by the time we get to 2020!

Simon voxed the now legendary New Orleans Royal fan at 12.50. Once again, world class McCoy!

And both The New Oleans Royal fan and Simon have been utterly hilarious these past 2 days!

Considering the number of business presenters with general news experience I always think it's a waste of resources to not schedule someone who can take the small studio segments of news to do the business when these planned outside broadcasts take place.

The role of the presenter back at NBH is a little wider than just popping up with a news summary, they need to be able to take over and anchor the whole thing in the event of the OB falling off air, so it does need to be somebody with those abilities.

That's not to say that the business presenter couldn't be that person, but not necessarily.

What's wrong with the newsroom at BH today? It seems that the central lighting deck malfunctioned, resulting the center of the newsroom a bit dark... You can spot the problem during the bottom of the hour sting and the weekend news opt-out...
