I wonder why the NC won't be simulcasting BBC Business Live at 8:30AM during Easter holidays, the programme has to go on air on WN anyways... Perhaps the people at the BBC thinks that the UK audience won't be interested in business news during bank holidays?

News Channel doesn't have a business presenter on Bank Holidays?

Business live is still broadcast on World News so it could still go out on the news channel?

I am looking forward to tomorrow when BBC News is back in its usual home, Studio D is ok but its not the same.

I find it strange that they move into a studio that is designed to look the same so the average viewer doesn't notice the difference then have a totally different newsroom backdrop.

Now can the LED hoop be moved up and down? Say if they ever wanted to replace the panels with higher resolution ones without the need for scaffolding.

Photos from it's installation show it being lifted by motors and then secured to the ceiling. In the UK if it was movable it would fall under the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations, meaning it would need to be dropped at least every six months for the entire assembly to be inspected, including the points in the roof. Probably not something they would want going on in the newsroom!

Besides, if you changed the screen itself, it would probably require a different method of attachment to the hoop, and you'd want to remove the diffusion they currently have on it (that's what reduces the resolution so much currently).

I forgot the link to the installation photos. Do you have it?

Is it the fun of internal charging? If BBC News Channel take it do they then have to pick up some cost that they don't incur by not taking it.

No idea if this is the case- just a possibility.

This Outside Source thing is the most ridiculous show ever.

Where is this pre recorded interview with this Clarisse Fortune coming from? A hastily put together studio A?

Outside Source definitely the least enjoyable BBC World News programme, maybe they should simulcast an hour of GMT, Impact or Global those three are much better and more in keeping with BBC News

Or just move Beyond 100 Days to 9:00pm (since Newsroom Live and Afternoon Live get in the way of them simulcasting GMT, Impact or Global.)

Presumably PBS wouldn't want Beyond 100 days and WNA to be consecutive in the schedule and moving Beyond 100 days just moves the problem from the NC simulcast to the BBC4 simulcast anyway.
I wonder if it would be at all politically possible for Newsnight to be redesigned to fill the 21:00 NC slot, as this would allow for the return of a second edition of the papers (If the six presenter stays on air until 7 the evening NC presenter wouldn't have to start until 8 so could easily continue to midnight). Would also free up the 22:30 slot on BBC2 which could be used for programming to target the ex BBC3 audience that has been largely forgotten about.

Outside Source and Beyond 100 Days both feel like shows you have to be in on to watch.
