Phil Avery's on again now and he tends to drift backwards and forwards a bit more, but he was framed pretty similarly at the elbow. If Lucy Martin's position was deliberate to keep her arm out of shot I hope it was no-one's decision but hers.

Is it just me, or is Lucy Martin being framed closer to the camera than usual during the weather today?

It definitely looks closer, Here's the week ahead forecast with her - https://www.bbc.com/weather/features/43527244?ns_mchannel=social&ns_campaign=bbc_weather&ns_source=twitter&ns_linkname=news_central

Simon King was framed the same way this morning. I think they've done it so the presenter doesn't have to stretch/stoop when pointing at the South East which seemed to be a problem when the new graphics went live.

I wonder if this was why Simon presented the morning shift from Salford on Sunday? Allowing the London studios to be available for tweaking the camera setups.

Makes sense, though I like a weather presenter who knows how to lunge gracefully. "... as this band of rain sweeps [oof] across from the East..."

Doesn't seem to have been mentioned, but for whatever reason, the evening edition of Sunday's Paper Review was just a replay of the earlier broadcast that had been recorded at 10.30pm. Martine did at least go through the papers at the time, but she just introduced a VT package of the earlier review.

New continuity menus are occasionally rolling out on the NC if anyone have noticed. From what I remember this type of menu debuted on last Sunday's morning at 10AM...

I saw one of these continuity menus last night. Is it using Reith or is it still Gill Sans?

Gill, from what the screengrab above is showing.
