Terribly fascinating stuff. I wonder whether your average viewer might realise that the backdrop behind Anna Ford wasn't real? Quite jarring to see N6 'naked', as it were. Oh, and just before the 8 minute mark you get to hear Anna say "Bloody hell". Funny, this feels like a lifetime ago, especially when you consider how much TV news (TV in general, and the world, for that matter) has changed between now and then...

Wouldn't be much point in using blinds into the newsroom if using E for broadcast unless there was also a blind blocking the backdrop as this is the newsroom.
Anyway I'd imagine this has something to do with why they were in D...


Edit: looks like that is the studio D gallery so more likely to have been one of the rehearsals

Bit of a strange technical problem just now during Breakfast. There were sound issues with the weather forecast, then it cut to the news channel TOTH sting, then to an empty Studio C with a somewhat bemused floor manager. After a minute or so we went back to Breakfast.

Was it the pre-NBH sting, or the current one?

Another technical problem now on BBC One and I'd assume News Channel too.

We saw Tomasz constantly say hello as the feed cut to him.

BBC One Scotland returned to Thomasz again at the end of the news bulletin and he looked very frustrated indeed. He didn't speak at all this time. From a quick flick round the nations this didn't seem to happen after the news.

I should add that BBC1 Scotland initially stayed with the BBC News Channel feed and into the start of the next report that Ben Brown introduced.

The BBC 1 Scotland live iplayer should show it all.

Tomasz looked like he was about to go nuts when he went back in vision on BBC One Scotland before it then went back to the newsroom.

It was years since we saw the Weather breakdown slide yet we've seen it multiple times over the past couple of months!

In all seriousness, looks like a spell of bad weather ahead, must be hugely frustrating to have prepared an important forecast and not get to deliver it.
